Autonomous Vehicle Human Factors Research · Early Access

The success of autonomous vehicles depends on the people in and around them.

Faster interviews. Less bias. More insight.

Traditional qualitative research is slow, expensive, and vulnerable to interviewer bias. DriveMind Labs replaces time-consuming human-conducted interviews with a consistent, non-judgmental AI interview agent — built on peer-reviewed human factors methodology — so you can collect deeper insights from more people, in more languages, in a fraction of the time.

Deploying autonomous vehicles and need real-world user data?

Understand how passengers, pedestrians, and road users perceive and respond to your AV systems — before and after deployment.

Researching trust and acceptance in automated mobility?

Scale your qualitative interview methodology across countries, languages, and participant groups without compromising scientific rigor.

Advising on AV policy and need evidence on public attitudes?

Gather deep, representative qualitative insights from the communities affected by autonomous vehicle deployment in your jurisdiction.

Complete Research Platform

A research platform for autonomous vehicle stakeholders.

DriveMind Labs helps researchers, industry, cities, regulators, and public institutions collect in-depth perspectives and turn them into actionable insights for autonomous vehicle deployment.

Interviews

AI interview agents

Our AI interviewer creates a consistent, non-judgmental, and conversational environment that helps participants discuss sensitive topics such as driving anxiety, safety concerns, uncertainty, and perceptions of autonomous vehicle technologies. All interviews follow informed consent protocols, and participant data is handled securely to support institutional and IRB requirements.

Human Factors

Understanding human perspectives

Explore how people perceive, evaluate, interact with, and respond to autonomous vehicle technologies across different contexts and stakeholder groups.

Participation

Flexible participation modes

Allow participants to complete interviews through text, voice, or AI-avatar interactions, creating an accessible and engaging research experience.

Analysis

Automated qualitative analysis

Apply text analysis techniques rooted in scientific research to identify, organize, compare, and summarize themes across interviews. These methods draw directly on peer-reviewed research on automation acceptance published in journals including Transportation Research Part F and Scientific Reports.

Languages

Global research at scale

Conduct interviews in 40+ languages while maintaining a consistent research protocol across countries, cultures, and participant groups.

About the Founder

Built by a researcher studying the human side of autonomous vehicles.

I'm Sina Nordhoff, a researcher specializing in autonomous vehicles, human factors, technology acceptance, and human–AI interaction in transportation.

Over the last 10+ years, I have conducted research across multiple countries using interviews, surveys, and experimental methods to understand how people perceive, evaluate, use, misuse, and respond to emerging mobility technologies.

My work draws on more than 250 qualitative interviews and 40,000 survey responses. DriveMind Labs was created to make high-quality qualitative research more accessible and scalable through AI-powered interviewing and analysis.
